Storage of Firearms and Ammunition at Rata Academy
Firearms, their components and ammunition must always be stored in accordance with current legislation, regulations and official requirements. Rata Academy has taken these safety and storage requirements into account from the very beginning of planning its operations. The facilities and operating procedures have been developed in cooperation with the authorities, and all required inspections and approvals were completed before operations began. This ensures that firearms are handled and stored safely and lawfully in all circumstances.
Firearm storage in Finland is strictly regulated. Private individuals must store their firearms in a firearm storage cabinet that meets specific official requirements. The structural and security requirements for a firearm storage cabinet depend, among other things, on the number and weight of firearms and the conditions of the storage premises. The practical requirements are based on the Firearms Decree (145/1998) and the Ministry of the Interior’s guidelines on the storage of firearms, which set out detailed structural and security requirements for firearm cabinets and storage facilities.
At Rata Academy, these principles have been implemented to a high standard. The storage solutions for firearms and ammunition have been designed with the needs of both hobbyists and professionals in mind. The storage facilities focus not only on security, but also on practicality and functionality. For example, separate locked storage areas, monitoring systems and access control help ensure a safe environment for all users.
