Rata Academy and Box Café & Grill Join Forces
Quality Food and Excellent Local Service Arrive in Askola
Rata Academy is starting a collaboration with Oy Box Café & Grill Ab as Box launches its restaurant operations at the new Rata Academy centre in Monninkylä, Askola. The collaboration brings high-quality food to the area and further strengthens the range of services available at the centre.
Rata Academy is a unique shooting sports and training centre in Finland, bringing together shooting as a hobby, coaching, events and a sense of community under one roof. The centre provides an environment for beginners, competitors and professionals alike, as well as for corporate and private events.
Restaurant Services Launch in Stages
During 2025, Box will operate at Rata Academy as a restaurant for pre-booked meals and events. From the beginning of 2026, the offering will expand to daily lunch service, centred around a generous, high-quality home-style lunch and Rata Academy’s own signature burger, with flavours reflecting the centre’s values: courage, originality and the joy of doing.
During the spring, the selection will be expanded with Box’s popular burgers, grilled dishes and salads. Box Café & Grill’s flagship restaurant in Sipoo has been named among Finland’s ten best burger restaurants for four consecutive years, and the same uncompromising quality is now being brought to Askola.

The collaboration supports Rata Academy’s goal of providing comprehensive, high-quality and accessible services for all visitors, from shooting enthusiasts and corporate customers to local residents.
Oy Box Café & Grill Ab currently operates in Box, Sipoo, and in Hakaniemi, Helsinki, under the name Box Tuohi. Their expertise is now also coming to Askola.
