Rata Academy offers the opportunity to try shooting with the Sako ARG S 40 rifle.
This is not simply a display piece or demonstration firearm, but a chance to experience one of Finland’s most exciting new rifle platforms first-hand.
Anyone can come and try it
You don’t need any previous shooting experience or your own firearm licence to try the Sako ARG S 40.
The only requirement is to complete Rata Academy’s safety training. Safety training is automatically included in Introductory Shooting, Small-Calibre Range Package and Range Package.
After completing the safety training, you can use the ranges safely under the guidance of our instructors.
Whether you are completely new to shooting, an active reservist or a shooting enthusiast interested in precision shooting, you can come and experience this new rifle platform first-hand.

When booking a shooting session at Rata Academy, you can also choose to shoot with the Sako ARG S 40.
This is a rare opportunity to experience a rifle based on the same next-generation system selected for use by the Finnish Defence Forces.

Book your session
If you have completed Rata Academy’s safety training as part of Introductory Shooting, the Small-Calibre Range Package or the Range Package within the last six months, you can log in to the booking system and book a shooting session. When making your booking, you can also choose the Sako ARG S 40 as the rifle you want to shoot with.
